Three things decide how much you weigh:

  • The calorie content of the food you eat
  • What you resting metabolism is like - the faster it is, the more calories you use up when you are just sitting around.
  • How many calories you burn while carrying out your normal daily activities.

Think of it this way - the food that you eat provides you with energy (calories).
