Let me explain, the conventional approaches to losing weight normally don't work. The main reason is that your body goes into 'starvation mode' if it detects a sudden reduction in nutrition (e.g. you've started a diet!). Then, to protect you from starvation it starts to slow down your metabolic rate, so you don't need so much food to survive. Then you stop losing weight even though you are eating less.

Not interested in weight loss as you only want to get rid of love handles? Well you should be, as the only way to lose love handles is to reduce your overall body fat. Unfortunately there is no way of losing fat selectively from one part of your body, or another. So if you really do want to eliminate love handles you are going to have to reduce your overall body fat percentage.
